Chrysanthemum Stone, a classic Chinese ornamental rock, is very attractive and getting more and more popular worldwide. The pieces showing here are from a new location in Hubei Province, China. The "Flower" (white part) is the crystals of Andelusite, an aluminian silicate. The matrix is limestone. Materials from the new location are more beautiful than those from the Classic Liuyang, Hunan location: the flowers are larger and more complete, and the matrix is darker. The color is natural.
