Brachiopod

Stringocephalus sp -- this is the largest species of Brachiopod, lovely specimens, looking like an eagle or a penguin. Although Brachiopod is a common kind of fossil, a species of that size is relatively rare. Only one location in the world produces the type of specimens now.

Location: Wuxian, Guangxi, China

Age: Middle Devonian (370 millions years ago)
